Earshot plays DayZ's own weapon sounds, mixed with the game's distance curves, filters and indoor reverb. Train until you can tell a KA-M at 400 m from an M4 at 150 m.

Find the file in your DayZ install
In Steam, right-click DayZ, then Manage → Browse local files, and open Addons. The default location is:

Train
We copy the ~2,300 sounds the trainer needs (about 40 MB) into your browser's storage. You only do this once, and again after a big game update.
